The dairy industry’s success depends on policymakers and regulators hearing directly from the people who produce, process, transport, market, and support dairy in their states and communities.
That’s why IDFA created the Rapid Response Advocates for Dairy (RRAD)—a professional community designed to quickly mobilize trained dairy advocates when timely action is needed on federal and state policy issues.
RRAD expands the dairy industry’s advocacy footprint by equipping a broad network of IDFA members to respond to calls to action through digital and grassroots advocacy tools. At the same time, it helps cultivate the next generation of dairy advocates, ensuring our industry’s emerging leaders stay engaged in the policy conversations shaping dairy’s future.
By combining speed, reach, and local credibility, RRAD strengthens the effectiveness of IDFA’s advocacy efforts and helps ensure lawmakers hear directly from their constituents when it matters most.
IDFA’s Rapid Response Advocates for Dairy (RRAD) launched in 2026 as a dedicated advocacy corps composed of 25 IDFA member representatives who are prepared to respond quickly to calls to action on policy and regulatory matters. Unlike IDFA’s leadership and professional development programs, RRAD is specifically designed as an operational advocacy resource focused on rapid mobilization and coordinated grassroots engagement.
RRAD members will serve as trusted representatives of their companies, participating with the knowledge and support of their employers and helping extend the reach of company-aligned advocacy across federal and state policy environments. Through structured engagement and IDFA-provided messaging tools, RRAD members will help ensure that advocacy efforts reflect both industry priorities and the perspectives of individual member organizations.
