Andrew Jerome

Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications

Andrew Jerome serves as Senior Vice President of Strategic Communications at the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), where he leads the association’s integrated communications and public affairs strategy. As a member of IDFA’s executive leadership team, he oversees advocacy communications, media relations, digital strategy, marketing, event branding, and reputation management efforts that advance the voice and visibility of the U.S. dairy industry.

Since joining IDFA in 2020, Jerome has helped elevate the association’s national profile, leading a comprehensive rebrand and guiding communications strategy through complex policy and industry challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak. He has supported IDFA’s leadership on proactive industry commitments, expanded dairy’s presence in federal nutrition programs, amplified export growth, and helped position IDFA and its members as authoritative voices in agriculture, food, and public policy.

Jerome joined IDFA after serving as director at Michael Torrey Associates, where he provided policy and communications counsel to food companies, trade associations, farm groups, and universities, while strengthening the firm’s strategic communications and business development efforts. Prior to that, he was communications director for the National Farmers Union, overseeing media relations, digital strategy, coalition communications, events, and member outreach.

A native of Southern Maryland, Jerome holds a degree in public relations with an emphasis on American politics and policy from West Virginia University.
