For more than 20 consecutive years, IDFA’s Milk Procurement Workshop has remained an industry favorite for learning the fundamentals of milk price regulations and industry trends, policies and risk management basics. Attendees and supervisors alike have praised the workshop and its instructor, Bob Yonkers, nationally recognized milk-pricing expert and vice president and chief economist at IDFA.

“The workshop was the perfect opportunity for members of my team to hit the ground running on milk pricing policies,” said Brian Rice, founder and principal of Rice Dairy, LLC., who sent multiple participants from his company to the recent course. “Bob Yonkers cuts through the weeds of complicated regulations with collaborative, real world exercises invaluable to anyone wanting to understand our industry better.”

John Dardis, senior vice president of corporate affairs at Glanbia USA, also praised the course after attending this year. “IDFA’s Milk Procurement Workshop helped me as I moved into a senior management team position where I quickly needed to know more about the U.S. dairy industry and milk pricing regulations,” he said. “Bob Yonkers gave incredibly detailed information about complex regulations in a clear and well-formatted manner. I’d recommend the course to professionals of all levels.”

Registration is now open for the workshop, which has permanently moved to the fall. It will be held Nov.16-17 in Rosemont, Ill. IDFA encourages milk processors, cheese makers, frozen dessert makers, butter manufacturers, nonfat dry milk manufacturers and other dairy industry professionals to attend.
