IDFA is seeking applicants for its 2019-20 NextGen Leadership Program, which is designed to support, guide and prepare mid-senior level dairy industry professionals who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. This unique program will convene a class of 15-20 IDFA member representatives for a multi-faceted, year-long program.

The NexGen Leadership Program will equip participants with the next level of skills required to conquer business demands today – and in the future. Participants will build and expand relationships with their peers, hone leadership skills and acquire advanced advocacy skills for the dairy industry. The program will focus on three core areas:

  • Advocacy
  • Education
  • Networking

“To prepare for the future and retain top talent, organizations need to provide learning and professional development programs for their next generation of leadership,” said Michael Dykes, D.V.M., IDFA president and CEO. “At IDFA, we are dedicated to providing resources to our members to ensure positive growth within their companies.”

The selected candidates will meet three to four times over the course of one year. All applicants must commit to participate for the entire program, including attendance at all events. The first NextGen event will be held August 13-15 in Washington, D.C.

Eligibility

Program participation is limited to representatives of IDFA member companies. All candidates who want to be considered for the 2019-2020 NextGen Leadership Class must complete an application and have the support of their companies to participate. Completed applications are due by June 14, and the selected candidates will be announced June 28. There is no fee for participation.
