It's time for the dairy industry to get behind a compromise, bipartisan solution for dairy reform, said Jerry Slominski, IDFA senior vice president, in a letter to Hoard's Dairyman that ran March 10.
"IDFA has consistently supported reforms that help provide risk management tools for dairy farmers," Slominski said, naming margin protection as an example. The solution proposed by Reps. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and David Scott (D-GA) would offer support to producers without hampering industry growth, he concluded.
