WASHINGTON, Jan. 25, 2022--The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) today released a new working paper entitled, Modernizing U.S. Milk Pricing: An Exploration, authored by Dr. Marin Bozic and Blimling and Associates. The study was commissioned by IDFA at the request of the IDFA Economic Policy Committee, a group of more 80 IDFA member company experts representing the full dairy supply chain. The study does not make recommendations; instead, it is a landscape overview of global milk pricing and competitiveness intended to serve as an important resource for further discussion among IDFA members regarding issues related to the Federal Milk Marketing Order (FMMO) system.

The working paper was authored by Dr. Marin Bozic and Blimling and Associates. Dr. Marin Bozic, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at University of Minnesota’s Department of Applied Economics . Dr. Bozic's research program covers dairy policy, risk management and demand for dairy foods. He’s also a principal of Bozic LLC, a company that develops and maintains livestock insurance programs for USDA Dairy Revenue Protection, Livestock Gross Margin and Livestock Risk Protection. Dr. Bozic is an advisor to several dairy trade associations, a popular national speaker on economics of dairy markets and a frequent consultant on important dairy market and policy issues.
