WASHINGTON, February 19, 2026—The U.S. Department of Agriculture today announced it will purchase up to $148 million in American dairy products to support U.S. producers and deliver nutritious foods to food banks and federal nutrition assistance programs nationwide. The purchase includes significant quantities of butter, cheddar, Swiss and other cheese products, and fresh and ultra-high temperature milk.
Michael Dykes, president and CEO of the International Dairy Foods Association, released the following statement:
