(Washington, D.C. – September 23, 2015) When the 2015 International Dairy Show ended last week at McCormick Place in Chicago, exhibitors shared their success stories and offered an enthusiastic welcome to the launch of ProFood Tech, a new event that will focus on processing technologies serving the food and beverage industry. ProFood Tech will make its debut April 4-6, 2017, at McCormick Place.

One exhibitor with an expansive booth at last week’s show was Serac Inc., which specializes in innovative packaging solutions for liquid filling machines, aseptic filling machines and bottle filling machines using net weight filling technology.

“Serac showcased our new Combox Blow Molder, Filler, Capper machine at the 2013 Dairy Show, and we received tremendous exposure to potential customers and the media. The response was very positive, so naturally we were equally excited to participate in the 2015 show and introduce our new Agami Vertical Thermoforming solution,” said Acyr Borges, president of Serac Inc. “Once again, we experienced a very positive response from the media and the dairy industry. The Dairy Show and IDFA provide us with this this type of industry recognition, and that is one reason we exhibit at the show.”

Sanchelima International, Inc., a global provider of technical solutions and equipment to the dairy industry, also had an extensive footprint at the show.

“We were impressed with the quality of attendees at the 2015 International Dairy Show,” said Juan A. Sanchelima, president of Sanchelima International. “We have been longstanding members of IDFA and are looking forward to ProFood Tech in 2017.”

Continuous Improvements

The 2015 Dairy Show garnered a 12 percent increase in exhibit sales over the 2013 show, according to Neil Moran, senior group vice president of the International Dairy Foods Association.

“We’re very pleased with the continuous improvements we’ve made to the dairy shows in the past, and we’re excited now to be taking it to the next level with ProFood Tech and our new partners, PMMI and Koelnmesse,” Moran said.

PMMI is the owner and producer of the PACK EXPO portfolio of trade shows and represents North American manufacturers of equipment, components and materials for processing and packaging. Koelnmesse organizes world leading trade shows for the food and beverage industries as well as for the food and beverage processing industries, such as Anuga and Anuga Food Tec in Cologne, Germany. IDFA is North America’s largest dairy association, representing more than 85 percent of all North American manufacturing of dairy products.

With an expansive show floor and enhanced educational programming led by IDFA, ProFood Tech will attract high-level buyers from every food and beverage sector. A Dairy Pavilion will provide premier exhibit space exclusively for suppliers serving the dairy industry. It also will provide crossover solutions and new ideas from other industries, along with a broader perspective on food and beverage processing.

“The new show will combine the unrivaled experience and recognition of PACK EXPO, Anuga and IDFA to create an event that will be unprecedented in its ability to address all of the issues facing food and beverage processing operations in the North American marketplace,” Moran said.

Other Dairy Show exhibitors, including Delkor Systems, Inc. and Tetra Pak, expressed their excitement about the opportunities that ProFood Tech will offer.

“As a longtime member of both IDFA and PMMI, Delkor is very pleased to see the attention and focus that ProFood Tech will bring to the North American food and beverage industry,” said Dale Andersen, president and CEO of Delkor Systems, Inc. “Koelnmesse’s outstanding reputation as a trade show organizer only strengthens this collaboration.”

"As a world leader in processing and packaging technologies, Tetra Pak is excited about the potential ProFood Tech holds,” says Carla Fantoni, vice president of communications for Tetra Pak U.S. and Canada. “The joint efforts of PACK EXPO, Anuga and IDFA clearly demonstrate a commitment from these three leading organizations to establish a trusted brand serving all food and beverage categories. We think this consolidated approach will help suppliers and customers alike make the most of the show.”
