Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), a member of the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee, will join Rep. Frank Lucas (R-OK), ranking member of the House Agriculture Committee, at the June 17 Washington Insiders Breakfast during IDFA's Washington Conference. They'll share the inside scoop on how Congress currently views federal dairy policy and take your comments and concerns back to their committees for consideration.

Klobuchar, the first woman elected to represent Minnesota in the U. S. Senate, serves on four additional Senate committees: Environment and Public Works, Commerce, Judiciary and the Joint Economic Committee. As a member of the ag committee, she has consistently worked to improve the competitive position of the U.S. dairy market.

Her work has gained national recognition. She has been described by the Washington Post as "a rising star" and "a leading proponent of efforts to combat climate change," as well as "the funniest new member of Congress." The Star Tribune has cited observers who praised her as "a fast-moving legislator with potential to become a party leader."
