Robin Galloway

President of the Ice Cream Division, DFA Dairy Brands

Robin Galloway is currently serving as the President of the Ice Cream division of DFA Dairy Brands, now her fifth ice cream manufacturing employer.  She has a passion for making and selling ice cream having spent the majority of her 30+ year career in the industry.

Her professional career began in Chicago at Amoco Oil Company (now BP) in various accounting roles.  After moving to Detroit, Robin joined Johnson Controls in their Automotive Systems Group.  During her tenure at Johnson Controls, she held multiple accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility in both Michigan and then back in Illinois.  Robin’s next career move was to the then Chicago based Dean Foods company.

Robin continued to rise professionally during her ten years with Deans Foods where she culminated her time with Dean Foods in a Vice President of Finance role.  While at Dean’s, she was one of 15 annual recipients recognized with the President’s award given for her work in training and development within her team.  She also was selected to be just one of four finance employees to participate in the design and execution of a Finance Transformation project.

Subsequently, Robin moved to Seattle, Washington as the CFO at Restaurant’s Unlimited a private equity backed owner/operator of midscale to luxury dining establishments residing in multiple states.  Robin came back to Ice Cream with Wells Enterprises as CFO, relocating to Le Mars, Iowa.  Robin later joined Schwan Foods as CFO in Minneapolis, MN.  At Schwan’s she led a restructuring of the accounting and finance teams as well as helping execute the operational turnaround over-achieving the target.  Prior to joining the new DFA Dairy Brands entity, Robin was CEO of Fieldbrook Foods, now owned by Wells Enterprises, a western New York private label ice cream manufacturer.  She champions strong peer and team relationships and is respected for her honest and nurturing approach while driving significant change efforts.  She cultivates team members leaving a legacy of promotable, and promoted, contributing individuals.

While Robin has enjoyed success in her professional career, she is a committed community member volunteering for various organizations in the communities in which she resides.  Organizations that Robin has supported in the past include adult literacy, student tutoring in the Seattle Public Library system, and the Seattle Animal Shelter.  Robin was a “Big” through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters (BBBS) program in Le Mars, Iowa, and was a board member of the BBBS Greater Twin Cities Board of Directors, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest.  In 2017, the Twin Cities Business Journal recognized Robin in their Top 100 People to Know article.  She has sponsored women’s networking groups and mentors in formal and informal venues.

Robin attended Monmouth College, Monmouth IL for undergraduate work receiving a B.A. in Accounting.  In addition, she holds her M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of Management; Keller now being associated with DeVry University.  She also has her C.P.A. (inactive).
