Colby Butcher is a Master Electrician with 25 years of automation experience across the nuclear and woodworking industries. Since joining Plains Dairy in 2007 as a Controls Engineer, he has earned his way through nearly every leadership tier—serving as Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Operations Manager—before being named Director in January 2025.
While Colby has focused on modernizing and automating the plant to increase production, his true passion lies in growing the team. His career at Plains Dairy has taught him that while technology drives efficiently, people drive the mission.
A devoted family man, Colby has been married for 27 years and is immensely proud of his two grown sons. His commitment to family and professional mentorship forms the backbone of his leadership style and his belief in providing opportunities for all.
