Overview

After COVID-19, what does it mean to “return” to work? Weeks of shelter in place provisions have contributed to a deep economic challenge. Governments are now considering options and timing for a gradual re-opening. Many of these re-openings are occurring in very different environments. Some geographies are considering opening after they have plateaued, while others are seeking to return after additional verifications are complete. These variations are driving concerns within businesses around risks associated with a return to work, and whether these risks can be adequately managed. Additionally, COVID-19 seems to have changed many realities for businesses in challenging ways.

Leaders are addressing many questions as they plan and navigate workplace return…

  • How can I protect my employees’ well being?
  • What is the most effective way to come back to work?
  • How do we address COVID-19 implications in the way we work?
  • Do we need to adjust talent processes?
  • How should my talent model change?
  • Will different ways of working impact productivity?
  • Will coronavirus-driven changes to the way we work impact our culture?

To help our industry navigate this new reality, IDFA has invited McKinsey & Company to offer their insights and perspectives on these questions and facilitate a dialogue around them among our members.
