Nine-in-ten Democratic voters (88%) and four-in-five Republican voters (79%) and independent voters (80%) support lowering food prices through comprehensive immigration reform, according to a new Morning Consult national tracking poll commissioned by the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA).

The rising prices of food are seen as a problem among voters with ninety-four percent (94%) saying rising food prices are a significant problem or somewhat of a problem. Two-thirds (68%) of voters express rising food prices are a significant problem.

Among voters, bipartisan agreement exists for Congress to pass comprehensive legislation on immigration reform.

Over half of voters (55%), including over half of Democratic voters (55%) and Republican voters (58%), support Congress passing comprehensive legislation on immigration reform.

Older voters (65+: 68%), post-graduate voters (72%), and urban voters (63%) are more likely than their counterparts to support Congress passing legislation on comprehensive immigration reform.

Congress passing the Farm Workforce Modernization Act is supported by a majority of voters across party lines.

Three-in-five voters (63%) support Congress passing the Farm Workforce Modernization Act with very low levels of opposition (11%). One-quarter of voters (27%) don’t know or have no opinion on the Farm Workforce Modernization Act.

Democratic voters (75%) show strong support for Congress to pass the Farm Workforce Modernization Act, while only half of Republican voters (53%) show support for this legislation.
