Have you registered yet for IDFA's Washington Conference?
The industry’s popular legislative fly-in, scheduled for June 20-21, in Washington, D.C., will be held at The Liaison Capitol Hill, conveniently located on Capitol Hill and close to major Washington attractions. The conference program will include popular activities from the past, including a briefing by IDFA’s top policy experts on pending legislation that will affect dairy companies and face-to-face meetings with members of Congress and administration officials.
"With the Farm Bill debate in full swing in both chambers of Congress, June is the perfect time to visit the Hill to let your congressmen know what's important to you and your company," said Jerry Slominski, IDFA senior vice president of legislative and economic affairs.
The conference also will include a Family Fun Program for children and spouses. The highlights include a cruise on the Capitol River, visits to the National Zoo and the Botanic Gardens, and shopping and sight-seeing in the famed Georgetown area of Washington.
Family Fun Program participants will conclude their two-day tour by joining conference participants at the 30th Annual Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party. More than 10,000 members of Congress, Hill staffers, Washington insiders and IDFA members attended the “coolest” event on the Hill last year.
IDFA encourages members to register today and to take advantage of the special room rate for the Liaison Capitol Hill. The room block at The Liaison will close May 28, so members should make reservations soon.
