The dairy products industry in Wisconsin employs nearly 42,000 skilled individuals, generates $2.14 billion in direct wages and has an overall economic impact of more than $23.68 billion.

The state’s dairy companies rank second among the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico in contributions to the U.S. gross domestic product in 2017, according to IDFA’s economic impact tool.
