“When it comes to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), IDFA believes maintaining the pact’s positive provisions should be a White House priority, along with renegotiating unfair and restrictive aspects,” said Michael Dykes, D.V.M., IDFA president and CEO, in his recent Cheese Market News column.

With Mexico, he said IDFA’s main objective will be to protect current market access and preserve the excellent existing trade relationship. The second priority will be to obtain fair market access for U.S. dairy exports to Canada.
