ProFood Tech, the processing trade show that showcases cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions, will take place March 26-28, 2019, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Powered by PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies; Koelnmesse, organizer of Anuga; and IDFA, ProFood Tech is the only processing event in North America that represents every segment of the food and beverage sector. Registration is now open, and IDFA encourages all dairy professionals to make plans to attend.

The event will showcase 450 exhibitors, provide world-class learning opportunities and offer abundant networking for processing professionals who want to expand their knowledge and supplier options. Several of IDFA’s Gold Business Partners will have prominent booth locations throughout the show floor, while the dedicated Dairy Pavilion will feature more than 75 suppliers demonstrating the latest in processing products, solutions and services.

"The inaugural event in 2017 set just the right tone for the show, and we’re building on that foundation," said Neil Moran, IDFA senior vice president of finance, administration and trade show. "Based on conversations with attendees and exhibitors, we heard that the new show provides countless growth opportunities for companies willing to employ new technology and techniques to boost production, efficiency and profits.

“Attendees will gain new supplier contacts, inventive ideas and powerful business solutions they can use to meet their needs and goals,” he said, adding that IDFA will offer its expertise in education and expanded learning sessions to provide an overview of the latest trends and advancements in food processing throughout the food and beverage industry.

Introducing IDFA’s Knowledge Hub

At ProFood Tech 2019, IDFA will launch the Knowledge Hub program – for free – from three separate locations on the show floor:

  • The Impact Zone will encourage interactive discussions and offer opportunities to learn from the experiences and successes of industry colleagues.
  • The Innovation Zone will feature breakthrough technologies, ideas and formulations designed to spark creativity, help find solutions and uncover fresh opportunities.
  • The Disruption Zone will deliver a line-up of sessions for professionals to learn more about implementing disruptive technologies to meet consumer demands.

“Drop in for free sessions, learn firsthand about trends and innovations affecting your business, and join in conversations to exchange information and viewpoints,” Moran said. “Each day’s schedule will be packed with informative and enlightening sessions designed to increase understanding of timely issues and provide information to increase you and your company’s effectiveness and profitability.”
