The China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) is planning a workshop in Beijing on July 20 to discuss regulations for infant formula, foods for special medical purposes and health foods, and representatives from interested IDFA member companies are invited to attend.

Approximately 50 seats will be available for U.S. government and industry participants, and the European Union also will be represented.

“We realize that the timing is tight, but interested members may want the opportunity to learn directly from CFDA what the impact will be on their companies and others that export these products to China,” said Beth Hughes, IDFA director of international affairs.

Members interested in participating may contact Hughes at bhughes@idfa.org.
