Registration is now open for IDFA's 2016 Advocacy Days. Formerly known as Washington Conference, the dairy industry’s popular legislative fly-in will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 14-15, at the Renaissance Downtown Washington Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The program will include many popular events from the past, including a briefing on pending legislation that will affect dairy businesses by IDFA’s top policy experts and face-to-face meetings with members of Congress and administration officials. The two-day conference will close with the 34th annual Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party, which remains one of the “coolest” events on the Hill.

"We strongly encourage all members to take advantage of the rare opportunities for access and networking that Advocacy Days will offer," said Connie Tipton, IDFA president and CEO. “There is no more effective proponent for your business than you.”

IDFA members are encouraged to register today to take advantage of the special room rate for Advocacy Days and begin making their plans. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Washington and close to many attractions and national landmarks.

“All IDFA member companies should send at least one representative to Advocacy Days,” said Ashley Burch, IDFA director of political programs. “It is so important to put a voice to your concerns, to sit face-to-face with legislators and to discuss the issues that are important to our industry.”

Members with questions regarding the conference agenda or the scheduling of Capitol Hill meetings may contact Burch at aburch@idfa.org or (202) 220-3534.
