Thousands of congressional members and their staff poured out of the Capitol and surrounding office buildings last Thursday for the coolest party and treats on the Hill. IDFA's 31st Annual Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party served more than 6,000 bowls of ice cream and 1,600 root beer floats, using 1,200 gallons of ice cream and 44 cases of sundae toppings.

The party was the perfect ending to IDFA's two-day legislative fly-in, Washington Conference, which drew scores of dairy executives to D.C. They made more than 160 visits to congressional offices to discuss their concerns about supply management in the Farm Bill and to encourage passage of the Goodlatte-Scott amendment, which the House of Representatives did by a vote of 291-135.

IDFA would like to thank the following Ice Cream Party sponsors for their generous donations, which helped to make the event such a great success. A list of all the delicious ice cream flavors is available here.
