IDFA invites members to participate this month in two Energy Star® webcasts sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency. The first, scheduled for July 13, will focus on energy management and highlight the experiences of one or more participating dairy processors. The second, on July 15, is intended for all food industries and will feature tune-ups for industrial refrigeration systems. Advance registration is required and free.

Walt Tunnessen, the Energy Star national program manager for EPA, and Clay Detlefsen, IDFA vice president of regulatory affairs, will host the first webcast on Tuesday, July 13, at 3:00 p.m. Participants will hear from one or more dairy processors who will share their perspectives and experiences with the Energy Star program.

The multi-industry Energy Star webcast, highlighting industrial refrigeration systems, will be held Thursday, July 15, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. Doug Reindl, P.E., Ph.D., the director of the University of Wisconsin's Industrial Refrigeration Consortium, will give the presentation.

Advance registration is required to participate. Registrants will receive a confirmation email with instructions for joining the webcasts.
