The Food and Drug Administration will distribute surveys starting next week as part of its efforts to modernize the current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for Foods. Nearly 2,700 randomly selected food manufacturing facilities will be asked to provide information on a variety of food safety practices that may have changed since the GMPs were last updated in the 1980s.

IDFA Vice President Allen Sayler encourages members to participate and asks anyone who receives a survey to contact him at asayler@idfa.org. For more information, see "FDA Renews Efforts to Modernize Good Manufacturing Practices."
