The Peanut Corporation of America has expanded its recall of all peanuts and peanut products processed in its Blakely, Ga., facility since January 1, 2007. The expanded recall includes all dry and roasted peanuts, granulated peanuts and peanut meal, as well as peanut paste and peanut butter, which were the identified in earlier recalls. The expanded recall comes amid an investigation by the Food and Drug Administration into a nationwide Salmonella outbreak that has sickened more than 500 people since September. According to FDA, products from other PCA facilities are not involved.
