Mara Kamat is the Vice President of Human Resources at Great Lakes Cheese, a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality cheese with over 4,000 employee owners. Mara is responsible for leading the HR organization and scaling the business for continued expansion and growth. She is committed to delivering an exceptional people experience to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent for generations. Prior to Great Lakes Cheese, Mara held various senior HR leadership roles at Philips Healthcare and at General Electric.
Mara’s personal passions include traveling with her husband and two daughters, boating and e-foiling. She is an active leader in her community in the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and in University Hospital’s Geauga Leadership Council. Mara is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business and has a Masters in Labor & Employment Relations from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
