Kristin de la Porte

For over twenty years, Kristin de la Porte has worked in the dairy industry in various roles in accounting and finance.  Her introduction to the industry began as a receptionist at a powder plant while attending college.  Three years later, while still attending college, she was promoted to Production Clerk at Dairy Farmers of America’s cheese plant in Turlock, California.  After graduating from California State University, Stanislaus with a degree in business management, Kristin was promoted to various supervisory and management positions within DFA that provided her direct experience in plant operations, accounting, human resources, and finance.  During her tenure with DFA, she contributed to the success and growth of the company by surpassing business goals and facilitating team member performance through training, leadership, and motivation.  In her final role at DFA as the Manager of Operations Finance, Kristin was responsible for all financial aspects of the cheese and whey plant operations including financial budgeting, reporting, capital projects, continuous improvement initiatives, forecasting and management of the ERP system.

In 2020, Kristin went back to the powder operations when joining Valley Milk, LLC as the Chief Financial Officer.  In this role, Kristin is responsible for all financial aspects of the business including optimizing efficiency, maximizing profit, and ensuring the business performance is aligned with the company’s vision and strategy.

Kristin is a native to Turlock where she currently resides with her husband Brian and their Labrador, Hoover.  She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends or running and hiking nearby trails.  Additionally, Kristin is an active member of the community and volunteers in various organizations including the Salvation Army and Advancing Children of Turlock which is a philanthropic group that raises money for under-resourced children.
