Chris Olsen is currently Vice President of Community and Government Affairs for Tate & Lyle in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. In this position, Chris is responsible for federal, state, and local government relations as well as community and media relations for all Tate & Lyle facilities in the United States. The primary locations are in Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, Maine, Arkansas, and Minnesota.
Prior to joining Tate & Lyle in February of 2005, Chris worked for Illinois Power, an electric and gas utility, for twenty-eight years. He worked in various public affairs, operations, and customer service roles.
Chris has been active in numerous community organizations promoting education, health, the arts, youth sports, and economic development.
Chris holds a BA from Millikin University (1974) and an MBA from University of Arizona (1976).
He has been married for forty-four years and has two children and three grandchildren.
