Bill Gutrich, director of global food industry engagement at Elanco Animal Health, has worked in marketing for some of the world's most recognizable brands, including Coca-Cola, McDonald's and Samsung. He recently joined the animal agriculture world and has found himself surprised and even shocked at some of the ways that animal proteins have been and are being marketed. In this session, Bill will share a newcomer’s perspective on marketing in the animal protein industry.

With a career that spans over 25 years in the food industry including Consumer Packaged Goods, Foodservice, and Hospitality, along with some work in Telecommunications and the Education Industry, Bill has served in leadership roles in sales, marketing, strategic partnership management, and business development, working with and representing several of the world’s most valued global brands. His 17 years with the Coca-Cola Company engaged him with top grocery retailers and leading foodservice franchise systems both in the U.S. and globally. His service with Conagra Armour Swift-Eckrich provided experience in the animal protein industry. He began his career building a base in finance and accounting both in banking and manufacturing.

Currently, Bill serves as Senior Director of US Food Industry Engagement for Elanco with focus on purveyors of food including grocers, global & domestic restaurant chains, foodservice companies, and food manufacturers across all animal protein market segments.

Bill earned an MBA in Marketing and International Business at the University of Illinois, earned a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Eastern Illinois University, and studied retail marketing at Richmond University in London UK.
