Dinner
With increasing stakeholder and regulatory expectations and pressures around ESG—environmental, social, and corporate governance—PwC will share insights of key marketplace trends and discuss challenges facing companies around ESG. The Dinner Program will include discussion of practical steps dairy companies should be taking now to meet these trends and challenges.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently proposed sweeping new rules to enhance public company disclosures related to the risks and impact of climate change. New disclosures will be required for all public companies and include certain climate-related financial metrics in the audited financial statements. While the rule focuses on public companies, this new regulation will impact all sectors of the economy and private and public companies alike. Public companies will be required to disclose information about carbon emissions, which would be subject to a phased-in assurance requirement. IDFA is pleased to be partnering with PwC to make information, resources, and ESG experts available to IDFA members to help them understand corporate ESG strategy and its relation to sound environmental profit and loss accounting to move our dairy industry forward in a profitable, sustainable way.
