Dairy companies and the Food and Drug Administration both place a high priority on understanding, managing and mitigating the risks of exposure to pathogens during food production.
To provide an update on the latest science and FDA activity, IDFA’s Regulatory RoundUP, June 5-6 in Washington, D.C., will feature insights from a former FDA official and renowned expert on Listeria science.
Robert Buchanan, Ph.D., director of the Center for Food Safety and Security Systems at the University of Maryland, will present, “Listeria and Listeriosis: Science, Risk and Policy,” covering the FDA policies and guidance that are now in place to help manage the risk of food adulteration and avoid the potential for illness.
