The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on Tuesday awarded the solicitation for the procurement of nearly 4 million gallons of fluid milk under the Trade Mitigation Food Purchase and Distribution Program to 10 entities. This purchase of whole, reduced-fat (2%), lowfat (1%) and nonfat milk in gallon containers is the result of offers received in response to the bid solicitation issued by USDA on May 1.

In total, 3,992,400 gallons of fluid milk with a value of $11,507,632.48 will be delivered to food banks across the country from July 1 through September 25, 2019. No offers were received for the remaining 219,600 gallons of fluid milk that USDA could have purchased through the program, but the bid process is closed. No new bids will be considered under this solicitation.

  • Darigold, Inc.
  • Dean Foods Company
  • GH Dairy El Paso
  • Hiland Dairy Foods Company
  • Hollandia Dairy, Inc.
  • Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc.
  • Shamrock Foods Company
  • Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc.

Only government-approved vendors are allowed to bid on USDA milk, cheese and dairy product solicitations via the USDA Web-Based Supply Chain Management System (WBSCM).
