Connie Tipton, IDFA president and CEO, joined New York Governor Andrew Cuomo this week in opposing proposed regulations by Canada that would create a barrier for U.S. dairy farmers exporting products to the country.
If implemented, the proposed regulations could result in a market loss of $50 million for New York's dairy industry.
"Canada’s disregard for its trade commitments with the United States, including the state of New York, is unacceptable,” said Tipton in the press release issued by the governor.
