IDFA joined other industry representatives at a listening session with Food and Drug Administration officials late last month to discuss the agency's concerns regarding drug residues. FDA is trying to determine if there is a correlation between illegal drug residues found in tissue samples of meat from some culled dairy cows and the milk supply from these farms.

The meeting, hosted by the California Department of Food and Agriculture, was held March 24 in Sacramento, Calif. Members may login below to read a summary of discussion points, the full transcript of the prepared statements at the listening session and the list of attendees.
