What's the Alternative to the Dairy Security Act?

A margin insurance plan with no supply limits. According to the CBO, a stand-alone insurance program could be offered with similar budget savings as provided by the Dairy Security Act. Not only would dairy farmers be better off, our federal government would save money, too.

Members of Congress are being told that they have no choice; they must support the Dairy Security Act (DSA) because it is the only way that Congress can provide a safety net for dairy farmers without busting the budget. It's simply not true.
