Dykes: IDFA’s Main Priority in NAFTA Talks Is Maintaining Status Quo with Mexico

Apr 12, 2017

The U.S. dairy industry’s top priority in the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is maintaining its market access with Mexico, while also seeking increased access to the Canadian market, said Michael Dykes, D.V.M. president and CEO of IDFA, in an in-depth interview yesterday with Inside U.S. Trade.

Dykes said the dairy industry is primarily concerned with making sure it can continue to export tariff-free to Mexico.
