The current farm bill expires at the end of fiscal year 2018, but IDFA will soon begin evaluating possibilities based on the politics and people in charge, said Connie Tipton, IDFA president and CEO, in her recent Cheese Market News column.
“At the core of the dairy policy will be an adequate safety net for dairy producers that doesn’t adversely affect markets and demand for products,” she said, noting that two things have to happen to ensure the safety net will work.
