IDFA last week joined the National Consumers League (NCL), the nation’s oldest consumer organization, at NCL’s Trumpeter Awards Dinner to honor three individuals for their exemplary commitment to consumers. IDFA helped to sponsor the dinner, and Ruth Saunders, IDFA vice president of policy and legislative affairs, served on the event’s planning committee.

IDFA works on dairy policy issues with NCL, which has specific consumer education programs in the area of food safety that highlight the dangers of raw milk consumption. Recently, NCL started an education campaign on food waste and has invited participation from the food industry.
