Connie Tipton, IDFA president and CEO, is the first non-Texan and second woman to be inducted into the Dairy Products Institute of Texas Hall of Fame. She received the award this past weekend from Mark Compere, president of the Texas organization, joining 108 other members.

The Dairy Products Institute of Texas launched the Hall of Fame in 1978 to honor those who worked diligently and effectively for the Texas dairy industry and were active in the organization.

Louise Brigham from Pecan Deluxe Company was inducted in 1995, making Tipton the second woman to be so honored.

“Connie was selected for those reasons and for her hard work at IDFA for the dairy industry in general,” said Mark Compere, president of the organization. “Connie, Tip and IDFA staff have been friends, supporters and participants in the Dairy Products Institute of Texas for over 40 years. We have appreciated our longtime friendship with Connie, and it is an honor for Dairy Products Institute of Texas to recognize her in this way.”

Other inductees this year are Dale Finch, who is retired, and Marvin Carr of the Crouch Supply Company.
