In her recent blog post, Ashley Burch, IDFA director of political programs, examines the match-up in Kentucky between U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes (D).

“If Grimes bests McConnell, in addition to delivering a painful and embarrassing blow to Republican morale, it could also mean the difference between Republicans winning back the Senate majority and a 50-50 tie with Vice President Biden as the tie-breaking vote,” Burch said.
