Still trying to decide whether to attend Washington Conference, IDFA’s legislative fly-in, this year? Listen to what three dairy leaders recently had to say about taking the time to travel to the nation’s capital each June.

  • “Participation in Washington Conference demonstrates to lawmakers that we are serious about the issues facing our businesses,” said Jon Davis, president and CEO of Davisco Foods International, Inc. “If there was ever a year where we needed to storm Capitol Hill en masse, it’s this year.”

  • "The Conference provides a valuable opportunity for dairy industry leaders to come together and inform legislators about the critical public policy issues that impact us," said Gregg Tanner, CEO of Dean Foods Company.

  • “It’s an outstanding opportunity to actively participate in areas that affect our business future,” said Heather Draper, director of The Ice Cream Club, Inc.

Washington Conference, June 19 and 20, will offer dairy policy briefings and opportunities for face-to-face meetings with congressional leaders and their staffs. It will conclude with the popular Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party, now in its 31st year.

New This Year

IDFA will join with the National Association of Manufacturers, which is holding its annual fly-in the same week, to host an evening reception on Capitol Hill, June 19, for congressmen and members. Join your colleagues on the rooftop of 101 Constitution Avenue for an opportunity to meet with legislators and members of their staffs in an informal setting overlooking Capitol Hill.
