IDFA, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Sector Coordinating Council, is convening a Food Defense Update Meeting on January 23 in Washington D.C. Trade association personnel will review the vulnerability assessment work that the Food and Drug Administration has conducted over the past five years and preview upcoming food defense-related tools and activities that FDA has planned for 2013.

Also at this meeting, FDA will share its new Food Defense Plan Builder tool, which is currently under development and scheduled to launch next spring.  

The meeting will be held 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the National Association of Manufacturers conference facility, Room 756, 733 10th Street NW, Washington, D.C. Advance registration is required.
