The latest issue of "Dairy Research Insights" reviews two recent studies that document the health and economic impact of consuming too few dairy foods. One analysis found that the estimated direct healthcare cost of illness attributable to low consumption of dairy products is equivalent to $2.1 billion annually – or $11.7 billion when lost productivity was applied to the model.

The findings for the e-newsletter are selected and interpreted each month by members of the Dairy Research Institute's team of scientists.
