IDFA has issued a call for topics to gather ideas and identify speakers for three 2013 conferences:
- Ice Cream Technology Conference,
- Milk and Cultured Dairy Conference and
- Conference on Worker Safety and Environmental Issues.
The call for Ice Cream Tech topics will end November 9, and the call for topics for the other conferences will end December 5.
The International Dairy Show call for speakers and presentations will open in January 2013, and information will be available at here.
Ice Cream Technology Conference
March 12-13, St. Petersburg, FLA.
IDFA invites you to submit ideas on topics for a possible presentation or panel discussion at its 2013 Ice Cream Technology Conference.
This premier event for frozen dessert professionals, the Ice Cream Technology Conference is the only meeting that focuses specifically on frozen dessert research, technology, new market trends and opportunities. Ice Cream Tech encourages an open exchange among participants and experts on the technical and practical processing issues pertinent to the frozen dessert industry. The meeting features networking opportunities and product tasting, including the annual Innovative Ice Cream Flavor Competition.
Areas of interest for topics are:
- Consumer trends, retail sales and product marketing data;
- Food safety, quality and auditing systems for frozen desserts;
- Innovations in processing, freezing and packaging equipment for ice cream and novelties;
- Novel ingredients, flavoring and sweeteners for the ice cream industry; and
- Efficiency, cost saving ideas and sustainability improvements for processing, packaging, sanitation and distribution
Complete the topic submission form and submit it to IDFA by November 9, 2012. IDFA will contact you by December 7, 2012, if your recommendation is accepted.

Milk & Cultured Dairy Conference
May 22-23, Indianapolis, Ind.
IDFA invites you to submit ideas on topics for a possible presentation or panel discussion at the 2013 Milk and Cultured Dairy Conference.
This conference will showcase the most recent developments in ingredients, processing technology and packaging, as well as a look at new products entering the market. Industry peers and respected experts will empower attendees with fresh new ideas to help their companies grow and prosper. The conference includes the annual Innovative Dairy Product Contest.

Conference on Worker Safety and Environmental Issues
May 29-30, Chicago, Ill.
IDFA invites you to submit ideas on topics for a possible presentation or panel discussion at its 2013 Conference on Worker Safety and Environmental Issues. The 2013 conference will be different from last year’s Sustainability Symposium and will address environmental and worker safety issues as well.
Environmental and worker safety issues continue to flare up and recede over the years, but they can cost a company dearly when it is found to be out of compliance. Sustainability, on the other hand, is a key to a successful future for any business – and the dairy industry is no exception.
The IDFA Conference on Worker Safety and Environmental Issues is designed to help participants protect their company and employees, conserve energy and natural resources, and grow their businesses. It will examine current and pending environmental, worker safety and sustainability issues and target ways attendees can chart their success.
Areas of interest for papers are:
- New sustainable practices or technologies;
- Means to improve worker safety; and
- Solutions for environmental problems.
