The U.S. Department of Agriculture released last month its final version of "Dairy 7," the Dairy Product Price Support Program specifications for government purchases of salted butter, cheddar cheese (blocks), American-style cheese (barrels) and nonfat dry milk. These specifications will be used in commercial transactions and for product trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
This version supersedes "Dairy 6," which was released in April 2006, and contains only minor updates to definitions, names and website links.
