The U.S. Department of Agriculture today joined the National Football League and the National Dairy Council in their efforts to stop childhood obesity. Representatives from all three groups agreed to work together to promote healthy eating habits and physical activity among school-age children. The partnership will build on the NFL and NDC "Fuel Up to Play 60" social marketing program currently used in 58,000 schools across the country.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack joined NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and TomGallagher, CEO of Dairy Management Inc., at a student rally in New York City where they announced the partnership. Read the news release here.
