Proper taste-testing techniques are critical skills ice cream companies use to ensure that their products are top quality.

A featured session at IDFA’s Ice Cream Technology Conference, April 10-11 in Fort Myers, Florida, will explore methods used by industry professionals and academia to effectively analyze and evaluate the flavor, texture and appearance of ice cream.

The session, “A Sensory Analysis of Ice Cream,” will also cover the scoring methods and language used to give meaningful understanding to ice cream characteristics.

The session will lead directly into the conference’s Innovative Ice Cream Flavor Competition, where attendees will evaluate the industry’s latest flavor creations.

Registration is open online.
