The pending free trade agreements with South Korea, Colombia and Panama cleared the Senate Finance Committee last night, removing what could be the final hurdle to passage. Both chambers of Congress are expected to pass the measures today and send them to the White House for signature.

IDFA welcomes the long-awaited progress on the pacts, because the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement could result in up to $336 million in increased dairy exports, according to estimates from the U.S. International Trade Commission. The agreements with Panama and Colombia are each expected to produce an additional $25 million in exports per year.
