The National Milk Producers Federation's board of directors agreed last week to support a series of major reforms to the Federal Milk Marketing Order program, which it says would "renovate the economic structure of the U.S. dairy sector." The changes will be included as part of the package of proposed dairy policy programs, known as Foundation for the Future, that NMPF has been developing during the past 18 months.

IDFA is currently reviewing the proposal. Members with questions may contact Jerry Slominski, IDFA senior vice president, at jslominski@idfa.org or (202) 220-3512.
