IDFA Joins National Preparedness Coalition, Promotes Emergency Planning

Sep 05, 2006

DFA has joined more than 1,000 public and private sector organizations as a member of the National Preparedness Month Coalition, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, to help educate the public about the importance of emergency preparedness. Throughout September, coalition members are helping to disseminate emergency preparedness messages to customers, members, employees and communities across the nation. "Emergency preparedness is an important concept to promote, not only to our member companies but to their employees and their families as well," said Clay Detlefsen, IDFA's vice president of regulatory affairs. For its part, IDFA has added a link on its home page to www.ready.gov, where members can find detailed information on emergency preparedness.
