Worldwide Food Expo Super Session to Focus on Sustainability
(Washington, D.C. — March 27, 2009) What should your company be doing right now to ensure your business can sustain and improve its performance well into the future? Corporate sustainability expert Joel Makower leads off the "Super Sessions" at the 2009 Worldwide Food Expo on Wednesday, October 28th. In addition to Makower’s session, Worldwide Food Expo will feature a sustainability track of education sessions as well as a sustainability pavilion on the show floor. Sessions on food safety, regulation and market trends are also planned. The Worldwide Food Expo will run through October 31, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

As a writer and strategist on corporate manager sustainability practices and clean technology, he has helped a wide range of companies align environmental goals with business strategy. He is a Batten Fellow at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, an advisor to VantagePoint Venture Partner’s clean-technology practice, and serves in a board or advisory capacity for a variety of other for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
