IDFA traveled to Tripp City, Ohio last week to meet with Meijer executives and tour its cottage cheese, fluid milk and yogurt plant.

Representing IDFA were Michael Dykes, D.V.M., IDFA president and CEO, Cary Frye, IDFA senior vice president of regulatory affairs; and Bailey Wood, IDFA vice president of communications, public relations and marketing. The executives met with Mike Graham, senior vice president of supply chain and manufacturing, and Mark Sherman, vice president of manufacturing.

The goal of the visit is part of a larger effort by Dykes to engage the association’s membership at their operations and to learn how to best support members. The visit was the latest of several trips IDFA’s executive team has conducted this summer. For photos of the visits, follow @michaeldykesdc on Twitter.

About Meijer

Founded in 1934, Meijer is credited with creating the concept of the modern supercenter opening their first “hypermarket” in 1962. Currently, the company has 242 operations in Michigan and surrounding states. The company founder’s presence and values are visible in all the company’s operations, as the stores cumulatively donate about seven percent of their annual revenue to local charities.
